Meet Our Ministers

Minister Penny Ellis

MINISTER PENNY ELLIS is an ordained minister and serves as the Minister of Missions. She was born in Clayton, AL and grew up in Birmingham, AL. Minister Penny and Pastor Ellis were married in 1985 and have four children (Imani, Nailah, Aisha, and Emmanuel). She enjoys cooking, reading, photography, learning about other cultures, and spending time with family.

She is a graduate of the University of Montevallo (Montevallo, AL) with a BA in Social Work & Spanish; The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, KY) with a Master of Divinity; and Mercer University (Atlanta, GA) with a Master of Science in School Counseling. She has served as a university chaplain, Federal Bureau of Prisons Chaplain and as a corporate chaplain. She also served as Minister of Christian Education at New Faith Baptist Church (Matteson, IL). She is currently employed by Gwinnett County Public Schools (Seckinger High School). She was the Founder and Executive Director of Sisters On Mission, Inc. (2006 - 2021).

As Minister of Missions, she leads the Mission Team as they train, educate, and mobilize believers to shares the BEST NEWS, The Gospel of Jesus Christ. As leader of the Mission Team she leads her team to:

Train priority teams
Provide Mission education for congregation
Pray and support missions (in the community, state, US, and internationally)
Train and mobilize Missions Teams

Minister Leonorra (Lenn) Jones

EVANGELIST LEONORRA JONES was born in rural Jeanerette, Louisiana. She’s the oldest daughter of four siblings. Raised in the Baptist faith, where she taught Sunday school, sung in the junior choir. She’s married, and has no children of her own, but she is the godmother to seven beautiful children.

Evangelist Lenn as she is known, accepted her calling into the kingdom of God and received her ministerial license at Thankful Baptist Church in Kennesaw, GA on April 28th, 2013, under the leadership of Rev. John W. Harris.

She loves the Lord with all her heart and her favorite Scripture can be found in Proverbs 31:25

She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

Evangelist Lenn is the dance ministry leader of “In the Spirit Dance Ministry. She also serves in the Women’s Ministry, The Beautification Ministry, Missions Team, Marriage Ministry, and the Hospitality Ministry.
