Our Pastor
Gregory V. Baker Sr., M. Div. was born in Lakeland Florida in 1978 to Elder Gwendolyn B. Baker and Deacon Gregory D. Baker and is the grandson of the late Bishop D.L. Bright (Previous Presiding President of the United American Freewill Baptist Conference, Inc.). From a small boy God has guided this 3rd generation preacher with careful direction that has aligned him in a very strategic pathway. He was chosen by God to preach the word in the womb, and answered the call on his life at the age of 19. He has ministered the gospel in various capacities throughout the Southeastern region of the country. He continues to walk in his assignment as Preacher/Teacher of the Biblical text.
He exhibits an awesome annotative ability Sunday after Sunday that yields the proclaimed Gospel in vivid expression and power that has gripped the un-churched bringing them closer to Christ in relationship. He encourages the church to be mission minded as it relates to the community, and the imperativeness of standing against the social injustices that are faced within this society. He received his B.S. degree in Cardio-Pulmonary Science from Florida A&M University.
His studies have included annual lectures and workshops at the D.L. Bright Institute, as well as brief study at the Queen City Bible College located in Charlotte, NC. Afterwards he was strategically placed in the city of Atlanta, GA., and has received his M. Div. degree from the prestigious ITC (Morehouse School of Religion). He is currently working on a Doctorate degree at United Theological Seminary. He is married to Tameka L. Baker, and they are the proud parents of three beautiful children. A handsome son, Sir Gregory V. Baker II better known as "CHAMP", and two precious daughters, princesses Kennedy and Braxton Baker. Pastor Baker is truly a phenomenal man of God with vision, and has been blessed to boldly speak with clarity the Word of God. He is an extremely humble person, willing to put others first, and is one who truly loves the people.
